I'm Michael McCarty — a designer and builder trained as an architect. I've spent years turning physical spaces into images people stop to look at, and I make every Motion Listings video myself, from first frame to final cut.
I trained as an architect — which means I've spent years studying how space actually works: how light moves through a room, how proportion and flow shape the way a place feels, and what makes one angle sing while another falls flat. That's the same instinct that decides which moment of a walkthrough to hold on, and how to make a space feel bigger, warmer, and more alive on screen.
Alongside that, I've built businesses from scratch. I scaled a direct-to-consumer brand to roughly $150,000 in revenue as a solo operator — designing every product, shooting and editing the content, and running the organic and paid social that drove the sales. I learned firsthand what makes someone stop scrolling, and what turns a passing view into a booking or a sale.
Motion Listings is where those two sides meet: the discipline of design and the instincts of someone who's had to make content actually perform.
Trained as an architect, I read a space the way a designer does — light, scale, sightlines, and flow — and I know how to frame and sequence it so it looks its absolute best on screen.
I come from architectural visualization, working in tools like Revit, Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, and D5 Render. Turning a room into polished, cinematic imagery is something I already do every day.
Photoshop, brand identity, and visual direction. Every video is composed, color-graded, and finished with a designer's eye — not stamped out of a template.
I edit every video myself. Pacing, motion, and music are tuned so the space feels alive and the video holds attention all the way to the last second.
A refined production process — the right tools dialed in at every step — lets me deliver cinematic results fast, and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional shoot.
Years of running organic and paid social taught me what actually performs. I design for the scroll — the video is built to convert, not just to look nice.
That combination is the whole point of Motion Listings — videos that look cinematic and actually book the stay or sell the home.
